Minelab at this current time don't have a mid-lined PI, which kind of sucks since many are in that budget range for a metal detector. I'm sure sometime soon Minelab will bring something new out to replace that line of metal detectors ($1,500 - $3,000 range). Right now you jump from a Minelab Eureka Gold at $998.95 to the GPX-4500 at …

Capacity - 9.6 Ah, 72Wh. Weight - 625 grams. This is a lighter weight replacement battery to suit all Minelab SD-GPX series pulse induction machines, from the SD2000 up to the GPX5000. It is the same height and width as the standard Minelab lithium battery, but is shorter in length, so is compatible with all existing battery pouches and harnesses.
Late model SD2200D with black knobs (early models had red ring) Package includes: Coiltek lithium ion battery system with 1 battery - small, lightweight 14" Coiltek DD pro Elite - the first of the elite and super smooth yet still sensitive to sub gram nuggets 11" DD Super gold search standard Minelab coil Supersound signal enhancer - a must have …
Worst Feature: Price. Ideal For: Water, Beach, Submersion, Gold, Prospecting, Intermediates, Experts. Our Verdict: The SDC 2300 is a high-end metal detector but is not the most expensive in their inventory. It's considered mid-range, but it may very well be the most high-performing metal detector you'll ever buy.
Product Information. Minelab 18" Round Mono Commander Coil for GPX GP and SD Metal Detector 3011-0075. Suitable for GPX and older GP and SD series metal detectors. The 18″ Monoloop coil is the deepest seeking of all the Commander coils. It is not sensitive to very small gold nuggets, but has great ground coverage and finds very deep gold.
The Minelab SD 2000 detector was released in April 1995 and is no longer in production. The SD 2000 was a gold detector utilising Pulse Induction and MPS technologies. Please see the product manual for more information. 1 of 3. As Minelab continues to create innovative technologies and improve detectector performance, we discontinue our older ...
The GPX series run at a higher voltage than the SD or GP's. The SD's are not regulated, so you can place more voltage to them to gain some performance. The GP series are regulated at 6 volts, so adding more voltage don't help. The GPX series power down at 7.2 - 7.3 volts, but run anywhere from 7.4 to 8.5 volts.
Used SD-2200D $1,200 complete package. Used GP-3000 $1,200 complete package. Both detectors come with a new lithium battery and charger. Made in Australia, both these metal detectors are ideal for those looking for deep relics or larger nuggets. SD-2200 D Comes with a 8" mono and 10x5" DD coil. The DD is brand new with warranty.
Also, it was the first detector in the PI series, so it was new technology and made many goldfields around the World almost again. I still remember using the Minelab SD 2000, good old days. I doubt there is much resale value on them, maybe $500 as many of the SD 2100/2200's and GP series sell used for $800-1200. P.S.
If you search hard enough, you will find a used SD or GP series, but you're talking from $800 - $1500 depending on unit, condition and accessories. Something to seriously consider is the fact none of these series can be worked on anymore from Minelab or a Minelab Contact Company. The parts are pretty much obsolete.
The reason many used 12V is it can be regulated to 7.3 for 2000 2100 2200 or at 6.7v for Gp extreme where a 6v I don't believe can not produce 7.3 or not for very long unless maybe tip top battery fully charged. ... Hi Everyone, I just purchased a Minelab SD 2000 off ebay which "apparently" worked for the previous owner. I assembled the SD …
Well, they were a great old machine, but old is the key word here. Here is the Minelab discontinued detector listing. Minelab will service detectors for at least 5 years after they are discontinued. The SD 2200v2, the last version of the 2200, was discontinued in 2009 with service running out in 2014. Welcome to the forum!
The SDC 2300 is very sensitive to small gold scattered in heavily mineralised ground. This gold is often missed by prospectors with both VLF and PI detectors because of the difficult ground conditions and fine gold size. You can now detect the small gold missed in previously searched areas. These small gold finds can lead the way to new patches ...
This unit can be toggled between two voltages to accommodate Minelab SD/GP or GPX series users. The 6.7v setting is recommended for the GP series detectors (Extreme, 3000 & 3500). The 7.3v setting is recommended for Minelab SD series detectors (2000, 2100, 2100e, 2100v2, 2200d & 2200v2). With a constant voltage of 6.7 or 7.3 volts you should ...
Minelab PI detector's are SD to GPX. The 3030 xterra series are VLF & I believe the sovereign & excal are VLF also. The Biggest difference is the PI will detect deeper and not be affect by mineralization as much as VLF. The VLF is better at discrimination or ID (idenifying Detector) but not as good with mineralization, but have …
